The Overview
Founded Margarita Margarita in 2020 as an events and wedding service with a mobile Margarita bar, Stanley – a converted 1972 Commer Highwayman van. The brand quickly expanded into a nationally stocked cocktail mixer range while continuing to grow a thriving events arm. Margarita Margarita became a leading cocktail mixer brand in Australia before I successfully exited the business in March 2025.
The Longer Version
Margarita Margarita began as a tequila-fuelled brainstorming session in my Brisbane kitchen after yet another batch of what I believed were the best* Margs ever made.
I set out to create a brand that could bring premium, flawless Margs to any celebration, ensuring no one ever had to settle for an average Margarita again.
What started with Stanley as one mobile Margarita bar quickly grew into a nationally recognised brand with both an events and retail presence, including:
🍋 Two iconic mobile Margarita bars on wheels, Stanley and Dolly
🍋 A regular presence at major stadium events, concerts, and games at Suncorp Stadium, The Gabba, and Metricon Stadium
🍋 Serving Margaritas at some of the largest festivals, including the Moreton Bay Food & Wine Festival, The Hills Food & Wine Festival, Teneriffe Festival, and the Australian Open Polo Finals
🍋 Supplying Margarita Margarita mixes to major music festivals nationwide including BluesFest (in partnership with Diageo for Casamigos Tequila), Spilt Milk Festival, Beyond the Valley, Souled Out Festival, and many more
🍋 Pop-up activations at Westfield Carindale and events at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre
🍋 Developing and launching a range of eight premium Margarita mixers, including cult favourite The Classic Margarita Mix
🍋 Expanding distribution to more than 90 retailers across Australia, including Dan Murphy’s
A defining element of Margarita Margarita was our signature lemon-based Margarita mix, rather than lime. The result was a smoother, more balanced Marg that became a signature of the brand.
Over five years, Margarita Margarita grew from a kitchen idea into a nationally loved cocktail brand built around great flavour, great experiences, and good vibes.
